SheRa Mag is the brainchild of actress and writer Viva Bianca and two other young Australian women. Tired of the male generated mythical representations of girls in the media and wishing to profile real women, the founders decided to make their dream of starting a magazine that serves up culture to intelligent, spunky women a reality. “We want to speak to the sort of girls we are: globe trotters, culture lovers, feminine yet ballsy, career driven, and opinionated,” says Bianca. “There are lots of women’s magazines that concentrate on beauty, fashion, and more superficial issues on the one end of the spectrum and magazines that analyze pop culture and social issues in-depth but that spread themselves too thin as they appeal to many different demographics on the other. We want to offer the latter but aimed at women,” says the other Co-Editor in Chief, Victoria Khroundina.
