Personal Trainer Photoshops Her Body to Attack Cyberbullying and Body Shaming

Personal trainer Cassey Ho, known for her YouTube channel blogilates, gave internet trolls a run for their money when she created an image of the “perfect body” using the negative comments she received from users.

Ho, whose body is healthy, fit, and has absolutely nothing wrong with it, has received comments such as “You shouldn’t give advice when you’re so fat,” “Trainer? Really. Tone up the belly fat and love handles,” and “Her body is so pudgy. Trying doing some crunches,” just to name a few.

Armed with trusty Photoshop, Ho manipulated her body and filmed it to show the ridiculousness of what the “perfect” body as perpetuated by society and people who clearly have self-esteem issues really looks like.

“When you look in the mirror, are you happy with what you see? Or do you stare at yourself, pinching your fat away, lifting up your butt, pushing in your boobs, wishing you looked like a VS supermodel?” she says. “It’s hard to be content with the shape of your body when people are constantly telling you how fat you are. The backhanded compliments, the mean comments, the cyber bullying – all of this messes with us…and it hurts. What if getting flat abs and bigger boobs was as easy as a click. What if you could stop all the hate and just photoshop yourself right now, in real life? What would you change?”

Before posting the video on YouTube, she posted the end result of the “perfect body” on Instagram with the caption: “Finally got my perfect body. Watch my new video where I share with you all my body slimming secrets” with a link to the video. And the ensuing comments once again underline some very unhealthy body image ideas. Comments ranged from “You look perfect” to “Still too fat” to “The gap between her legs is so unattractive” to “You look anorexic now.”

Cassey Ho

Haters gonna hate, Cassey. But thank you for drawing attention to not only body shaming but cyberbullying in general. This is one internet sensation (her video has garnered nearly one million views in five days) we are happy to get behind.
