It’s been a big couple of days for Aussie band The Preatures. First, the band revealed the release date of its much anticipated debut record “Blue Planet Eyes.” Following shortly after was the announcement they’ll be supporting Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s The Rolling Stones on the Australian leg of their “14 On Fire Tour” later this year.
“When we heard there was a chance of supporting The Rolling Stones, we tried not to think about it, in case it didn’t happen,” band member Gideon Benson said in a statement. “When we actually got the nod from them, we went in to shock and we still are.”
The five-piece, rhythm focused, pop-rock band have had a massive year performing at some of the worlds biggest and best music festivals–Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, Splendour in the Grass, and Coachella, to name a few. They’ll be back in the US on their headlining tour just as the album drops there, with dates being released via their Facebook page.
The gloriously rockstar sexy, feisty frontwoman, and album cover girl, Isabella Manfredi, isn’t just forcefully captivating on stage, she’s also the songwriter of last year’s “Is This How You Feel?”, which won The Vanda and Young Songwriting Prize, Australia’s most prestigious songwriting competition. The track has been covered by one of our favorite artists Gossling and was also the song of choice for a parody by German act Bremen Vier. But Izzi’s not one to be offended, “She’s making fun of me. It was an incredibly satisfying experience: that’s our ‘I’ve made it’ moment.”
So while we wait for the album and sit patiently for the tour dates for our UK friends, be sure to check out their new track via Soundcloud here. These guys will be HUGE!
