SheRa Mag editors Viva Bianca and Victoria Khroundina connected with Sara Li, college student and founder of Project Consent, over Skype to discuss rape culture, our own sexual assault experiences, and ways in which we can combat the “silent epidemic.” We think that opening up the dialogue about rape and sexual assault is a powerful tool for change, which is why we urge you to listen to this interview and share it with both women and men. After all, even if you haven’t been raped, it’s more than likely someone close to you has. And let’s face it, it’s about time we grabbed “rape culture” by the balls and squashed it! Also, please check out Project Consent’s website—a groundswell platform that provides a voice for survivors of rape and a movement for change.
Since Project Consent is a non-profit funded and managed by students, to help keep their mission alive, please check out their #PawsOff merchandise sale here. (“Keep your hands to yourself unless explicitly stated otherwise!”)
